Model PT-50P 1508 Intelligent Auto Protection Switch (i-APS)

Introduction

PT-50P 1508 is an intelligent E1 channel auto protection switch (i-APS) that acquires a standard 19" / 1.5U height chassis, and supports 1+1 dual power, for maximum of 8 E1 channels protection.

Unlike the traditional A/B switch, the PT-50P 1508 enable both the master and slave transmission links simultaneously, monitor the quality of data received from both paths, and intelligently make-up the decision to accept the data received which is totally error free. Even the device is powered off, the data will be by-passed automatically. For such both active transmission links technique, it guaranties the maximum availability of data transmission and non-destructive switch over.

When switch over is triggered by error rate or just only the receive path is disconnected, single end switch is appeared, the other end will maintain as usual, that can maximize the system availability. All types of card and power module are hot swappable, and the system will memorize the best receiving data path and resumed as before after the maintenance.

The PT-50P 1508 is widely used for the most valuable data protection and provides the best data services for banking, aviation department and public electric facility.
